Brinke Stevens, 49, veteran of 90 films including Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama, braved ticks, mosquitoes, a rattlesnake, and a mutant monster while filming in pest-infested brush for a low-budget horror project directed by Jon Weimer. The San Diego native, a polyglot with a marine biology master’s degree, rose from early breakout in Slumber Party Massacre to become a fixture of the 1980s horror scene alongside Linnea Quigley and Michelle Bauer.
