Petitions Seek Stay of Georgia Death Row Execution
In Atlanta a cousin of condemned killer Jack Howard Potts joined an ACLU petition to halt Potts' Thursday execution for the 1975 kidnapping and murder of Michael Priest. Potts, who has dropped appeals, may be ruled incompetent. the timing set for 10:30 a.m. amid protests and a gubernatorial stay.
