Dallas AP EXPLO 72, a 100000 delegate evangelism training conference, moves into final prep with more than 62000 reservations for June 12 to 17. Two Area Students Win Journalism Scholarships
Shelley K ONeill daughter of Mr and Mrs Richard ONeill and Cherrie Fox daughter of Mrs Marshall Harvey Fox of Crane received $800 West Texas Press Association journalism scholarships to Angelo State University. Both 1972 honor grads from Odessa High and Crane High and former school newspaper staff. scholarships paid $200 annually over four terms. Fox also earned a $300 Millard Cope Scholarship from San Angelo Standard-Times a $500 Crane Noon Lions Club grant a $100 ASU academics award. Ector County Health Department reported weekly cases of illnesses including mumps flu and throat infections.
