Herrera Named All American Pitcher for UNM Lobos
University of New Mexico junior Danny Ray Herrera earned second-team All American honors from Collegiate Baseball for 2004. The Permian graduate went 10-0 with a 2.24 ERA in 17 starts, threw 128 1 3 innings, and recorded 104 strikeouts. Herrera is expected to be drafted in MLB amateur draft and has talked with four teams. He joined UNM’s Dean Duane as an All American pitcher and is among CSTV Player of the Year finalists.
