Danny Newton, 31, works in a 16 by 18 foot Nashville command center for Tennessee's Emergency Management Agency. He monitors weather, hazardous materials, and potential emergencies via 14 radios and two TV screens for TVA Sequoyah plant and other agencies. The 24 hour watch involves notifying counties in danger, coordinating when alerts arise, with rolls every eight hours and a background in rescue units.
