Brooklyn Navy Yard to open 210-year history museum at Building 92
A new $25.5 million Brooklyn Navy Yard Center at Building 92 will display the yard’s 210-year story with blueprints, photos, and artifacts including the USS Austin anchor. The site, once off-limits, opens to the public on Veterans Day, highlighting shipbuilding from 1812 to the Gulf War and the yard’s rebirth as an industrial hub with Steiner Studios and 240 businesses.
