Wick discontinues taping of his own calls at USIA
Charles Wick, director of the U S Information Agency, says staff concerns over his tapping of his own telephone conversations led him to stop the practice. He began in January 1983 and continued for several months, then apologized for any offense and said he meant no harm. The Times reported he tapped talks with Hatfield Adelman and Annenberg.
