Appeal Looms Over Willowbrook Wrong Diagnosis Award
Lawyers for both sides indicate possible appeals after a four judge panel cut a $2.5 million verdict for David Snow, now 21, who was misdiagnosed as mentally retarded while at Willowbrook State Hospital. The panel said the state erred by not uncovering his deafness sooner and by using an IQ test not designed for deaf children.
