Dogs on the Roof Become Local Celebrities
Smokey and three chow dogs perch atop a roof on Sweeny Street, attracting neighbors and photo seekers. Owner Leroy Strohman built a tiny sundeck and keeps the dogs safe with a lowering entrance, while they bark at passers by and even inspire stories of police visits and a possible America’s Funniest Home Videos moment.
