Mystery donor sparks Burlington High School scholarship gift
A Vermont woman Barbara Gauntlett donated 1 million dollars to fund scholarships for Burlington High School alumni. The money was placed in a New York bank to earn 60 000 dollars a year for students pursuing education beyond high school. Principal Bruce Chattman and lawyer Christopher Stoneman describe Gauntlett as a mid 60s traveler with four grown children who wanted to motivate students toward diverse career paths.
