Hospital notes conflict over child abuse reporting rules
Redic is cited in civil matters while CPS investigators handle notifications to law enforcement. Harston says MCH defers to CPS, but ER signs of abuse would trigger police reports. Unclear when hospital notified CPS about Talvis or when cocaine was found. Police seek tips as six positive cases of a controlled substance in a child raise concern. County DA Bland would not comment on the case or recall similar prosecutions. Police urge information to Crime Stoppers or Detective Cline.
