Senate vote bills aid for military spouses kids on duty death
The Senate approved 94 to 1 an amendment restoring some benefits for spouses and children of military personnel who died on duty or of service connected causes. Benefits average 256 dollars monthly and would aid about 3,000 widows or widowers with children ages 16 to 18 and about 28,000 surviving college students ages 18 to 22. Eligibility targets families of those dying before 1981 or from service related causes before 1981.
