Madoff’s eldest son found dead in SoHo apartment
Mark Madoff, 46, was found hanging from a ceiling pipe in his SoHo loft Saturday two years after Bernard Madoff’s arrest. He left a 2-year-old asleep nearby and had previously cooperated with investigators but faced ongoing investor lawsuits. His death follows intense scrutiny of the Madoff family amid the huge Ponzi fraud scandal.
