California bomb house site declared safe after burn
California authorities declared the site of a so called bomb factory safe after a controlled burn on Thursday destroyed all explosives and hazardous materials. The cleanup to haul soil and debris to a landfill will run into midweek as officials work to confirm no dangerous residue remains. George Jakubec, 54, renting the home, pleaded not guilty to charges of making destructive devices.
