U S auctions items of Iran's Embassy in Washington
U S government auctioned 1500 items from the Iranian Embassy to finance repairs and rent three abandoned embassy properties in Iran Cambodia and Vietnam. The first fifteen minutes yielded about 5000 from 35 ceramic pieces while many items sold below estimates and the sale aimed to raise 250000 dollars under the 1982 Foreign Missions Act governing foreign owned embassy property.
