Texans in Lebanon endure a quieter war front
Marines from Texas in Beirut face a wary peace. Lance Cpl. Martin Molotsky of San Angelo, along with Carrolton’s Lance Cpl. Rick Kelly and Seadrift’s Pvt. Hank Long, describe a shift from Grenada combat to a defensive Lebanon mission. They note reduced danger, tighter security, and patience with a limited offensive role amid ongoing shelling and the Oct. 23 bombing deaths.
