Brownsville reporters say both sides weighed a plea that could avoid trial and keep ex Duval County Judge Archer Parr out of state prison. Parr, freed from federal prison, faces state charges over use of county resources on his ranch and possible 10 year probated sentence. The deal would ban him from living in Duval County to prevent a political comeback.
