British scientists plan to clone chickens for cancer drug eggs
The Roslin Institute in Edinburgh will mass produce protein antibodies in chicken eggs to fight cancer. Cloned chickens will yield eggs containing drugs, starting with an antibody to melanoma. Viragen of Florida partners on the project, aiming for large scale, cheaper cancer therapies.
