Stayner pleads innocent in Yosemite tourist killings
Cary Stayner, already serving life in the Yosemite naturalist murder, pleads not guilty to the 1999 killings of three tourists Carole Sund Juli Sund and Silvina Pelosso and the beheading of Joie Armstrong. Prosecutors may seek the death penalty. Sund’s husband Jens says he does not push for it. Stayner described the motel room attack and strangulation and later led authorities to bodies and a beheading.
