A federal grand jury probe into the 1981 O'Michael Building fire in Odessa has been postponed until after year end. The panel will also hear evidence in a Nov. 8 marijuana seizure at Midland Air Park and continues to review possible links to civic center efforts. Prince Michael trial competency ruling in West Odessa case
Michael Oscar Bradbury known as Prince Michael was found competent to stand trial on kidnapping and rape charges. Jurors in 161st District Court deliberated about an hour before upholding his ability to assist in his defense and understand court proceedings. Bradbury, a self styled religious figure who claimed inspiration to commit crimes, shouted blessings as the verdict was read. He previously spent time in a mental facility and has a history of schizophrenia. The case follows a July arrest after a home invasion and abduction with a later rape allegation.
