Tiny pupfish may gain Ash Meadows preserve in Mojave Desert
After surviving 20000 years, the Devil's Hole pupfish could win a permanent 13000 acre preserve if Nature Conservancy raises 500000 to buy the land from Preferred Equities Corp. The deal would include a five year 1 million loan and hopes to transfer ownership to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
