Harvard study of 204 Harvard men shows those rated well adjusted by psychiatrists in early adulthood fared far healthier in their 50s than their distressed peers. The research in the New England Journal of Medicine found better coping with daily stress predicted slower midlife health decline, with significantly fewer illnesses and deaths in the well adjusted group.

Meat prices may decline next year in outlook
Washington AP reports that near record meat and poultry supplies plus a general economic weakening will curb consumer demand for higher priced items. Retail meat and poultry prices are seen rising more slowly than overall food costs, with meat gains limited to about 4 to 6 percent in 1980.
