In Boonville Indiana a civil jury held former firefighter Stanton Gash liable for the 1981 abduction and slaying of 11 year old Kathy Kohm, awarding her parents 5 000 in damages despite no criminal charge being filed. The Kohms argued Gash caused the death, while his attorney said he will appeal.
