U N Conference closes amid Western walkout over anti-Israel resolutions
In Geneva 14 Western nations walked out as two anti Israel resolutions passed at the U N Conference to Combat Racism. Israel and the United States boycotted. Final document urged stronger action against apartheid and sanctions on white ruled southern Africa while the walkouts included the nine Common Market countries and others.
