Pope Beatifies Zapotec Martyrs Amid Indian Rally

He urged faithful devotion and respect for Indians, while ceremonies blended Catholic rites with native incense, dress, and music. Politicians and locals pressed for better rights as Mexico embraces indigenous peoples.
