Texas Lottery at will firings questioned by lawmakers

Administrative assistant Cindi Suarez was fired without cause after a meeting in which managers announced terminations at the Texas Lottery Commission. The AP reports more at-will terminations at the agency than other Texas agencies, drawing scrutiny from lawmakers led by State Rep Ismael Flores who proposes a good cause standard for employees with at least one year of service.
