Trustees To Consider New Senate Ballot At College

College trustees meet on campus today and Saturday to review the budget for 1986 67 discuss faculty promotions and decide the fate of the Student Senate Constitution. President Robert Carr plans to present the constitution as faculty proposal and may seek approval from the trustees. A special Tuesday meeting decided on a 12 check ballot for the Senate election next Monday and Tuesday with 47 candidates. two with the most votes will become Student Senators.

Shansi to Pick New Members for Committee

The Shansi Committee announces freshman and sophomore votes on March 28 and 29 to select new committee members. Candidates include Lyn Anthony Elsie Clapp Barbara Easton Julia Higgins Naomi Kikhi Roberta Leinwand Maj-Brit Lindgren Cynthia Miller Joan Lee. The group seeks members with Asia knowledge and collaborative, open minded skills.

OACR Aids Cleveland CORE Spring Work Projects

OACR to aid Cleveland CORE in spring work projects with a preliminary meeting. Bernie Mayer of OACR will head the effort, aiming to organize about twenty students for tasks from CORE office relocation to membership drives and urban renewal surveys. Housing to be provided. Students March in Cleveland Vietnam Protest Rally

About 40 students from area colleges, joined by others, will march in Cleveland as part of International Days of Protest against the Vietnam War. They will picket Terminal Tower, march downtown, and hold a rally to demand bombing cessation, NLF recognition, and reduced U.S. war efforts, with SDS member Dob Parker and speaker Tom Hayden among participants.

Tutorial Training Conference Planned by YWCA

The YWCA will host a Tutorial Training Conference sponsored by the National Student YWCA from March 27 to 30. About 20 staff and student leaders from campuses with tutorial projects will attend, including University of Hawai i and Colby Junior College in Maine. Workshops cover sociological and educational tutoring aspects, organization, tutor and tutee problems, plus tours of a local project. Coordinators are Beverly Moet and Mrs Clyde Holbrook. The College was chosen for its large tutoring program serving grades one through twelve. Speakers include Burleigh and Harold Peterson among others.
