Maynard Metcalf to discuss Darwinists at Sturges Hall. Class of 1915 directory compiled by J Anthony Tampires out now. Dr Moore’s class discussed “Who Started the War” meets Mondays 8 10. Ambulance rumor denied by J B Winker. Tryouts for three one act plays set for Monday with copies in library reserve. Bulletins on tests to Peters Hall by Thursday.
Ernest K. Yocom, head of the village chamber of commerce, proposes sending a telegram to President Wilson and Herbert Hoover asking for immediate prohibition of malt liquor sales and manufacture. The motion, seconded by Professor Moot, passes unanimously after reading statutes declaring the waste of thousands of tons of grain in malt liquor production.
Oberlin debaters head to meet Western Reserve University tonight in the annual triangular debate. The Oberlin team of Shaw, Web, and Addams defend the affirmative on the international police force question after a fall practice period. They aim to avenge a prior defeat and seek to prove themselves in front of judges yet to be announced.
