College gains 130 acres in Oberlin land deal deal marks park and boulevard project
The estate of Charles Mt Hal passes control of about 70 to 130 acres to Oberlin College. Parcels include the Johnson Reed Evans and Maltby holdings along watercourses and into Plum Creek area. The Village Improvement Society plans parkland from Caskey Grove to the Arboretum with Hal and town gifts totaling 10,000 dollars to support the project.
