Oberlin College Forms Fourth Men’s Literary Society Committee

At a Friday meeting the Men's Senate approved creating a committee to organize a fourth Men’s Literary Society at Oberlin College. The panel will include two appointees from the Men's Student Senate and one member elected by each Alpha Zeta, Pa Delta, and Phi Beta Literary Societies. The committee will have authority to establish the new society and to review all actions by the existing literary groups.

Academy Debate Teams Picked for Oberlin High and Outsiders

Oberlin College men’s senate notes outline debate squads. The Oberlin High School side lists Captain Bennett, Abell, Sev ery and alternate C Andrus, with Captain Haskell, Wright, Dodge, Bikleber er and alternate. An outside school team includes Baxter, Gott, Yonan with Frizzell as alternate. Mr. C Williams attended the Ohio Society banquet in New York City. A fourth literary society may draft members from the three societies but not exceed five from each, keeping a limit on voluntary entrants.

Judge Ben Lindsey to Be Welcomed Soon

Noted authority on children's problems to speak on the misfortunes of Mickey. Judge Lindsey, from Tennessee, rose to prominence in a fight against jury corruption and graft. He champions juvenile delinquency reform and the safety of the state by aiding the street child’s fighting chance.

Important meeting of Athletic Association held December 12

The semiannual meeting of the Athletic Association will occur at eight o clock Monday morning December 12. At the gathering new vice president treasurer football manager and two assistant football managers will be elected. Varsity football letters and loss numerals will be voted. Amendments to the constitution on tennis will be considered. The Graduate Manager will post a Varsity list of four players before each game. The Varsity Tennis team will consist of the four men named in the list.
