Drunken Alley Brawl Ends With Rooney Fined
A dispute between Ed Rooney and Ari zona northeast of Oakes led to a nighttime fight at Mellinger's livery. Arizona suffered a broken rib and facial injuries while Rooney was arrested for disorderly conduct and fined $10 by Judge Hemenway. Both men had been drinking, and Arizona remained confined to bed at the Commercial as the case proceeds.
