Wildcat Attack Aboard Westbound Train Near Blue Creek

Engineer Frelich of Ogden Utah and fireman faced a savage wildcat that leaped into the cab as a westbound passenger train neared Blue Creek station near the Great Salt Lake. The animal clawed and bit Frelich as the crew fought it off with a shovel and the train halted at Terrace. Frelich was badly injured, his face and hands torn. The crew suspects the beast hid in bushes and attacked under glare of the headlight.
