The next production will be The Beggar Student, premiering next Monday night.
Sunnyside Park in Chicago opens to the public on Saturday June 5 with a high class vaudeville and musical program under Thos W Prior. The park offers a beautiful grove sheltered pavilion a stage and refreshment options with easy transfers from North Chicago Street Railway. Admission to all park attractions is 25 cents.
Clifford's Gaiety Theater presents a popular combination burlesque minstrelsy and vaudeville with Little Miss Chicago in Gay Paris drawing strong crowds. Al Wilson the German dialect comedian is a big hit along with Barney Fagan Henrietta Byron Fanny Bloodgood Banks Winter Gus Bruno the Garden City quartet and others in the varied program.
An excellent week held at the Haymarket features Harris and Walters in a comedy A Dark-eyed Widow, Jessie Couthous reciting favorites and dramatic poems, and character imitations. Billy Rice presents an old-time darky sketch with FE M Kayne and Nellie Walker. Arnold and Gardner, a German singing comedy, Murphy and Moore musical acts, De Moras hand balancing, Florence Beach ballads, Cohen and Maulsby Dutch comics, and other specialties enrich the program.
The monster Ferris wheel started turning again last Saturday and vaudeville performances begin and continue all summer. Admission remains 25 cents, the same as last year. With its many attractions and low price, the park is expected to be very popular.
