Nutley voters rally to support Liberty Bond drive as local battalion targets 100000 in fourth loan. Campaign plans include multiple payment options, school involvement, and a parade ready to boost the fundraising effort.
The Nutley Woman's Club canvassed about 1500 homes with 25 workers to counter OWI claims and gathered signatures on a petition urging that women receive the ballot as a necessary war measure. About twenty voiced opposition. the rest signed in support. Petitions will be sent to Washington.
William Longfelder of Highfield Lane and H Kohnstamm & Co New York donate an ambulance now delivered to the Newark branch of the Motors of America. The ambulance will be stored in a garage at the Longfelder home for the time being.
Nutley Lodge of Elks gives its Masonic Hall clubroom for Red Cross use on the first Monday each month. Women plan several social affairs. Mrs. J S Bodley on William street has gathered twenty four towels for the Chapter linen shower and finished a twenty fifth pair of socks and wristlets.

Miss Lillie Barthold of Puaseade has been secured by Wood to perform at all showings at the local picture house after Lee’s departure. She is engaged to play only during the present period and the full bill will run twice nightly to boost attendance after her absence caused dwindling crowds.
