Voters will choose delegates in Watley primaries held Tuesday the 13th under new state law. Republicans nominate for state county and freeholder posts with candidates listed by ward. Polls open 1 to 9 p.m. at designated voting places with official ballots only.
Base Ball Galore in Nutley featured varied outings over a week. The Nutley Club formed a nine and beat Passaic’s Manhattan Giants 16 to 3, then faced Newark’s Columbus B B C with a strong showing. Upcoming match vs the Colored Giants of Passaic could be season finale.
St Pauls Congregational Church schedules Sunday services at 11 a m and 730 p m with the pastor preaching at both. Sunday School at 945 a m, Young Peoples Meeting at 7 p m. Teachers Study Class Tuesday at 8 p m, ab pastor s Study.
The Ma club hosted its first annual Pure Tennis Club tournament on Labor Day at the club Courts. David S. Ning won the cup. Edgar T. Clements Lin H. Bishop and another player tied for second and will resume play at noon. Frank and Hich claimed prizes in a lively event with many spectators.

The aim is to avoid past criticism that the First Ward held undue power under the current ward-based system. A nine-delegate Nutley convention would prevent ties and ensure fair representation.

On Tuesday evening the Executive Committee of the Firs Ward Republican Club met at Franklin avenue rooms. The club will open each evening except Sunday from 7:30 to 9:00. It invites voters from all wards to enroll and join the organization. A smoker is planned for Thursday evening, September 15.
