A trolley car collided with a tank truck in Newark near Fletcher Avenue around midnight. Driver Arthur Scott of 1122 Fleming Avenue reported injuries as the truck and trolley tangled near Seunebore. The Brewer reports the incident as a motor tire collision with the truck and trolley involved.
At the Lyceum bi monthly meeting the president installed officers W. J. Horner as president W. F. L Gorman as 1st vice president Mau A Rigo as 2d vice president Harry P Curtis as recording secretary Charles Donaldson as financial secretary Rev FE F Quirk as treasurer Fred G Bodley as sergeant at arms Fifteen new members were admitted and committees were named for the year including Housing Athletic Entertainment Membership and other posts with listed appointees.

Health Officer Eugene Sullivan told the Nutley Commissioners that samples from nine local dairymen showed a lower bacterial count in raw milk than in months past. Other items included warrants for street work, banking depository request, a resignation in the engineering bureau, and requests on water and transit services.
Ida Edwards daughter of Mr and Mrs William W Edwards of Oinah and Roland Victor Fitzroy of Springfield Mass wed in a ceremony attended by sisters Grace and Alice Edwards. Kendall Bass of Springfield served as best man. The bride wore satin and light yellow gown for about 100 guests. The couple will reside in Springfield where Fitzroy works as a practical instructor in the high school.
Miss Elisabeth Deane Bedell daughter of Mrs. Alice Sedell of previously listed residence is noted in a short obituary item. The notice identifies her lineage and ties to the Sedell family in the community.

A course in automobile work will join the Prevocational School program on Church Street. Instructors are Paul J. Swain and Ralph J. Lundigen, both former Army men and faculty members. Lundigen has aviation motor experience at Kelly Field.
Mrs J H Seeley of Passaic Avenue paid a $2 fine for driving through the Park Schoolway during restricted hours after removing the chains. Kev S Trevena Jackson of Stewart Avenue on an emergency call to Mountainside Hospital had chains removed to pass. A report from Mrs H N Rodman of Franklin Avenue led to the arrest of John W Crean of 26 Summer Street Newark for trespass and returning after a prior release. Dayton Kierstead of Chestnut Lore in the School district faced charges for failing to send his two children to school, with the dispute over Park School attendance.
Lieutenant William K Donaldson of Union Avenue received the Distinguished Service Medal for meritorious and conspicuous services with the Aviation Center in France. He returned from France about two months ago and aided organization and direction of wage and repair service for the aviation corps at Governors Island and in France.
Notices posted by district clerk Morris M Reade call a meeting on Wednesday October 22 to vote on an $80 000 addition at Lincoln School Harrison Street. The board discussed plans with architect Charles G Jones and debated whether to build a larger high school or expand Lincoln with eight rooms and shared space.
