Chauffeur Saved From Gasoline Explosion By Wife
Charles Duncan, a chauffeur for Edmund Wright of Highfield Lane, was engulfed in flames when the auxiliary tank exploded while fueling a car. His wife smothered the flames with her clothing, saving him from serious burns. Dr. Alfred F. Jackson treated him and he was taken to St. Mary's Hospital, Passaic. Witnesses and helpers contained a garage fire. the damage to the car and garage was slight.

Berd Concerts Plan Three Shows Next Season

Mrs Abram Blum Dies At Nutley Home At 62
Mrs Abram Blum wife of former Freeholder Abrem Blum died at her Nutley home on Passaic avenue after a period of illness. The immediate cause was apoplexy. She was sixty two, born in Alsace France, a Nutley resident for over twenty years. Survived by husband and nine children including Mrs Frank Heller Newark and Mrs Willem Longfelder. Funeral at 9 15 Sunday from home with Rev C L Hofman of Newark officiating. Interment in Elizabeth.

At a town meeting held Wednesday night Town Attorney Reed said read repair bids were not strictly legal. A resolution ordered the moneys returned and required an ordinance covering legal requirements. Libby introduced a resolution to open Avondale road from Passaic avenue to El street and it passed.
