Nutley Man Weds Montclair Girl

Francis Cabot Williams son of Mr and Mrs Joseph Balch Williams of Naim Place Nutley and Miss Beatrice Lyford daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles W Lyford of 86 Porter Place Montclair were married Tuesday at the bride home. The house was decorated with pink chrysanthemums and ferns. The bride wore white crepe and carried a prayer book. Her maid of honor Miss Mildred Moses of Boston wore pink chiffon and carried pink chrysanthemums. Best man was Pearce Williams brother of the groom. After their wedding trip they will reside on Forest Avenue Verona.

Surprised By Friends At Quackenbush Estate

Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Quackenbush of Satan Place were surprised Thursday evening by twenty five friends in costumes. The gathering featured humorous dialect readings by Mrs. George Rea Mrs. Herbert Lewis and Mrs. C B Vroom followed by songs by Hugh Tiagie son Miss Lucy and Maud DeVausney and Mrs Hugh Eagleson. Piano solos and duets by Mrs M wt Quackenbush Miss Madeline DaVausney and Mr. George Rea completed the event with graphophone music rounding out the night.

New organ arrives but will not be used yet

A $1,200 pipe organ has been completed and installed at St. Pauls Church. An opening recital on Nov 8 features Reginald C. McAl, organist, with Franklin H. Bishop as violinist and a vocal soloist. Dedication on Nov 12 will be led by Rev. William A. Rice with 25 voices and soloists later announced.

Nutley Improvement Society Hosts Successful Card Party

The Nutley Improvement Society held a well attended card party at Nutley Field Club in Tennia place with yellow chrysanthemums and prizes of silver embroidery linens china and other items. A Nutley resident reports an East Notley plant of the American Match Manufacturing Company will be renamed and operate as a match factory. Production will start with bundled matches packed for shipment and plans include expansion to fabricate engines and aeroplane components, with trucks and engines projected at twenty five to one hundred fifty horsepower.

Body Found Hanging From Tree by Huntsmen Near Orange

Two young hunters, Frank Davis aged seventeen and William German aged eighteen, discovered a man hanging from a scrub oak behind Councilman John Muten's residence on Centre Street Wednesday morning. Identified as William McKenzie of 16 Commerce Street Newark, his body was taken to the Orange morgue.
