Blaze in vacant house awakens fireman next door
At 2.50 AM a blaze in a vacant house on Entwhistle Avenue and Harrison Street woke firefighter Robert Ripplingwater Smith. The adjacent home owned by Alexander Kirklatsik, recently purchased and under renovation, suffered roof damage. Damage is about $2,000 with insurance.

The blaze started at the rear end. origin unknown but Mr Taylor suspects a lit cigar was thrown onto the car post. Firefighters and locals extinguished the flames. Estimated damage about forty five dollars not insured.
