Man Held for Grand Jury in Newark Burglary Case
William Layton was arrested for breaking and entering Samuel Reynolds residence on William street and stealing a shotgun two umbrellas. He admitted the charge before Recorder Day and was committed to await Grand Jury action. A watch was later found on Charleston Street and clothing on Canal Street, pawned by Layton.

Funeral services held for E G Townsend former Kempton resident
On Monday afternoon the funeral was held at St Pauls Congregational Church for the late E G Townsend formerly of this town. Townsend died at his Cambridge Massachusetts home and was brought back for burial in the Methodist Cemetery. The service was led by the Rev Paisley and assisted by Rev Oscar C Helming. Townsend was a member of Kempton Council and insured for 3000 dollars. Pallbearers included three Agassiz Council Cambridge members and three from Kempton Council.
