Two Arrested For Dodging Silent Cop At Crossing
Two motorists were arrested by Chief Sutcliffe and Reserveman Brown for taking a shortcut at a busy Newark crossing. Clifford Kaufman of Whitford avenue and Alfred Lang of 44 Hecker street were fined $1 each. A separate case saw James Trippe of Sandford avenue charged after passing a standing trolley at Franklin and Centre. deposit of $10 posted for trial. Beating Is Charged Against Belleville Youth
Joseph Cerami, 20, of 41 Hilton Street Belleville, held on $600 bail by Recorder Poston for assault and battery. Antone Archera, 62, of Hilton Street, says Cerami attacked him Thursday morning near Passaic Avenue and Centre Street after a dispute between women from the two families. Archera was bruised and cut on face and head.

Daylight Thieves Enter By Cutting Hole In Screen
