Death of Nutley resident Benjamin N Marsh
Mr. Benjamin N Marsh of Nutley died at his home on Fassaic avenue after months of illness. He was born in Newark and moved to Nutley in 1874, worked in tanning then barrels manufacturing, and served two terms on the Franklin Township Board of Education. He held memberships in Crystal Lodge Knights of Pythias Nutley Masonic bodies and the Mo. 34 Royal Arch chapter. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Episcopal Church with interment at Pleasant Cemetery.

On Thursday evening at the Methodist Episcopal Church in Brockfieldav the youngest Pingree daughter and Dr Herbert Church of Nutley wed. The ceremony featured palms and daisies with the bride escorted by her father and a wedding march by Miss Mielli V. Brown. A large reception followed with many local guests and relatives from Passaic Nutley and Newark. The couple plan to reside in Paterson after a wedding tour.

St Pauls Church Young People stage benefit baseball game
On June 18 a game between married and single members of St Pauls Congregational Church Young People Society drew a large crowd at Passaic Avenue near Kingsland Road. Proceeds funded a bed in a Sea Breeze Coney Island hospital for sick mothers and infants. The married men lost 17 to 10 while refreshments sold by the young women supported the cause.
