Funeral for Frank Diven Noted Local Baseball Figure
The funeral for Frank Robert Diven who died last Saturday at 39 Woodland Avenue was held Monday night with Rev. Charles H. Powers officiating and Mrs. Hugh Eagleson singing. Diven, 56, had suffered years of tuberculosis and was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn. He once performed the vaudeville big shoe dance and later pitched for Baltimore in the old American Association with King Kelly. his widow survives and plans to return to relatives in Brooklyn.
