McGrath Off the Job in Police Tax Denial

After days awaiting Peter J. McGrath the deputy tax collector to finish delinquent personal and poll tax lists the task will be done by Chancemen Frank Zimmerman and Charles Gillman. Mayor Lux councilman de Vries and collector Van Riper met Tuesday to set the plan after McGrath left town two weeks ago after paying over collected money. A warrant was issued in East Orange for McGrath on assault and battery. Next week officials will appraise another batch of warrants to enforce tax payments.
