Swine Dealer Flee After Chanceman Fires Shot in Hampton
Residents heard a disturbance Friday night as a runabout chased toward the Passaic River after two pistol shots. Turner of Lyndhurst, a pig dealer, fled when ordered to halt, striking his hearse and disappearing. A local chanceman fired over Turner's head, suspecting he was a chicken thief, with a crate in the wagon.

Trolley Collision Hurts Men and Kills Horse
A southbound Paterson line trolley car struck an ice wagon in front of the Vosaeler factory injuring Harry White and Ward Dutcher. White suffers a head cut, broken collarbone, and sprained ankle.
