The new county park and Field House are now open inviting use by residents. The building includes separate rooms for men and women and about thirty lockers rented seasonally for twenty five cents. Demand is rising as renters use the facilities at the site and nearby locations.
A list shows the impact of small donations on medical aid. One cent buys iodine, gauze for a dressing costs one cent, five cents for a bandage, eight cents for temporary needs, ten cents for chloroform. Larger gifts provide gauze, absorbent cotton, sterilized bandages, surgical cases, hospital clothing, baby and child kits and other medical supplies to save lives.
Twenty six Nutley Club members join the service out of a hundred members. Most members are in the service age. The entire football team except three, the entire basketball team except one, and two baseball players have enlisted.
