Police raided a touring car gathering near the river and cited two couples for disorderly conduct after officers found them loud and uncooperative. They faced charges or a $10 appearance bond, with further checks on vehicle ownership and driver details.
The W C T U will meet at 10 o’clock Tuesday for an all day session at the Reformed Church. Members will complete work on comfort kits for writers.
At a commissioners meeting Mayor advised residents leaving for summer to shut off water at the curb to prevent unseen consumption via leaks. The town relies on the meter for usage data and turning taps on and off costs a dollar.

The Nutley Sporting Goods Store operated by Charles Zehner relocated after three months at its prior site and now sits at 224 Franklin Avenue north of the former address in Ircumqua.
The oldest Liberty Loan Bond purchaser is Mrs. Louian K Thiers of Milwaukee 102 a Loyalist daughter of the Revolution whose father served in the Continental Army. Florence Estelle Rogers of Medford Mass is noted as having a bond bought for her eight hours after birth. Another purchaser named Guat halakopulos of Chicago is also mentioned.

Miss Emma Beatus of Franklin Avenue in New York for the weekend. Mr and Mrs Herry T Lefferts and Miss Myrrie Lefferts of Masaale Avenue spend the first two weeks in August at the Thousand Islands. Frances Kloss of Pake Street faces a morning hearing before Recorder Post on a charge of striking Patrolman Nicholas McArea in the back with a brick during an arrest of the woman and her husband. Fred Kloss posted 835 to insure their appearance as the case stems from a family quarrel and an earlier attempt to arrest Jacob Kloss. The officer was not seriously injured.
