Nutley residents read notices on dog owners and council actions. Ethel Bates travels to Baltimore for two months while the Wickham house opens for guests. The Knickerbocker Society at Nutley High School elects officers, and J H Malees joins the Inaugural Committee in Washington.
Kempton Council members are invited to a Sunday Mass Meeting at Wallace Hall Y M C A Newark with an address on Virtue Mercy and Charity by Rev Lyman Whitney Allen. Nutley members ride at 2 55 p m. A Monday theatre party at a Newark theatre to support the Royal Arcanum employment bureau of Essex County.
Investors are urged to consider $2,000,000 of perpetual interest bearing certificates from Public Service Corporation of New Jersey sold by Hisele & King of Newark. The issue is endorsed and guaranteed by Fidelity Trust Company, making the bonds a safe, accessible option for small investors.
On Wednesday night the first encore party at St Marys Lyceum in the new clubhouse honored prizewinners from Nutley Belleville Jersey City and Brooklyn. First prize a half dozen silver knives and forks went to Mrs H C Colston of Belleville. Second prize a picture to Mrs O E Riley also of Belleville. Other prizes went to Miss Kate Crawley J W Sutter Miss E Bays and many more Nutley residents and others received awards.

The Bee Hive annual sale in Newark offers expansive bargains across departments. Wool and lingerie lead with vast variety and low prices, while sheets pillows and bedspreads attract record crowds. Men women and children’s garments also feature strong discounts.
Bowling interest rises as cash prizes draw talent to new alleys. Workmen finish fitting the store with Mr. Bubbler overseeing the venture and plans to open next week. Next Friday evening the 20th inst the Nutley Board of Education opens a contemplated lecture series at the High School Auditorium. Mr Howard G C Greene of New York City will speak with stereoptical views on the St Louis Fair. Admission is free but children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Mrs John Brader aged 81 died after brief illness at the residence of Mrs Sadie Buckley on Brookfield avenue. Funeral services were at St Mary's Church and interment in Holy Cross Cemetery Jersey City Heights. Widow of John Bruder she had resided locally over fifty years. Survived by Mrs Buckley and her son John Joseph Buckley.
