The Fire Committee finalizes a town wide Telephone Fire Alarm system making 108 Nutley the main call line. Subscribers can reach fire headquarters by dialing Fire Nutley for immediate alerts to the nearest box. The plan shifts from 25 to 4 alarm stations and promises faster notification, with penalties for false alarms.
Miss Adam May Wilkins daughter of Mr and Mrs John Wilkins of Passaic avenue wed William H Morgan of Belleville at Rev William C Nelson s Passaic avenue residence on Sunday afternoon. Bridesmaid Miss Jennie Davis Nutley and best man Elmer Bennington Belleville. They will live with the bride s parents until spring then move to Belleville.
George Benfer of Newark and William Reilly of Nutley will race ten miles at Hillside Park. Reilly, eight years Diocesan Champion, has won several Newark matches and on Labor Day at the Scottish game on Long Island won the 3 mile race in 14.69. There will be dancing before and after the events.
Six applications have been received for the St. Pauls Congregational Church pastorate. Trustees declined to name applicants, noting none are prominent but most are currently in charge of other churches rather than students. A nine-member committee leads the selection from the board and congregation.

The Ladies' Social Circle of the Reform Church elected officers at its annual gathering held at Mrs. Edwin H. Blunt's Hillside Avenue residence. New officers are President Mrs. A. B. Schunck Vice President Mrs. C. B. Vandewater Secretary Mrs. B. L. Broadbent Treasurer Mrs. Newton Woodwards. Members praised the prosperous society and reports.

The Vincent Methodist Episcopal Church held a grand opening last Sunday with a morning service delayed to evening. Subscriptions reached 12 732 dollars out of 15 000 aimed, plus more in the evening. Total cost listed as 348 714 60, 18 000 paid, and 20 000 set for a distant date.
The 1910 Council convened in the Chambers on New Year’s Day with a flower filled display. New members Callahan and Weischedel received tokens and applause while officers and standing committees were appointed. Libby chosen Vice Chairman as the session adjourned shortly after noon.
