Church Women Raise 1277 For Vincent Church Fund
At Vincent Church annual meeting the Ladies Aid Society reported total earnings of 1277 with 850 given to the building fund. Six circles earned 765. treasury balance 187 after disbursements. Town agrees to 1.00 foot sidewalk rate after protest
Comers Street property owners led by W. K. Jones Henry Heller and Charles S. Orben protested at the Board of Commissioners meeting over sidewalk charges rising from 58 cents to 1.00 per foot. Their attorney H Z Sorg argued the town once offered 50 or 58 cent terms, while the board upheld 1.00 a foot on Centre Street and other sections.
